Prerequisites to use Zoom Captions

  1. A Zoom account
  2. A good microphone or speak clearly
  3. Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser

Instructions

  1. Enable meeting captions on your Zoom account

<aside> 👉 You must enable Allow use of caption API Token to integrate with 3rd-party Closed Captioning services in your settings

  1. Make sure you sign up for an account on Stream Closed Captioner

<aside> 👉 Don't worry about not having a Twitch account, you can sign up with email and password.

  1. Update your Caption Settings on Stream Closed Captioner to ensure accurate Speech to Text settings

  1. Start your Zoom meeting

  2. Copy the API token from the Closed Captions menu item in your Zoom meeting

  1. To start using Closed Captions, visit the Dashboard and paste in your copied API token in to Zoom Meeting Captions
